Zoo trip!

We took Kaleb and the babies to the zoo a few weeks ago.  We've been wanting to go, but haven't had a cool enough day when Kirk was not working.  We finally had a cool Saturday and off we went!  Kaleb's favorite exhibits were the penguins, the meerkats, and the beavers.  Somehow, we missed the monkeys, and he was sure to express his disappointment when we got to the car.  We would have gone in search of them had we know before exiting the zoo that he wanted to see them so badly!

6 months old!

OK, so maybe they'll be 7 months old in 2 days, but I gotta get the 6 month post done first!

Emery and Oliver are 6 months old!!

At 6 months old:

*Emery and Oliver were both wearing 6 month clothes & size 3 diapers.

*They were both rolling and scooting all over the place.

*Emery was 14 lbs 15 oz and 24 1/8 inches long.

*Oliver was 14 lbs 4 oz and 24 1/2 inches long.

*They were still nursing every 3 hours and eating 3 solid meals a day.

That's right! Emery passed her brother up.  We thought she was going to be a petite little one, but there's not much petite about her anymore.  Oliver is following the same growth trend his brother did.  He's just a little guy.  I guess Emery has to grow bigger than them if she's going to stand up to 2 brothers!

We're still in love as ever with all 3 of our sweet blessings!

A Visit from Friends!

In July, Kirk traveled to Asheville, NC for a good friend's wedding.... Congrats Ryan and Cassie!  My friend Jenifer came and spent the weekend with me and the kids so that I had a little help while Kirk was gone.  Her husband, Levi, and their kids came to visit one day.  Kaleb had not seen Matthew and Lily since December, so they were super excited to play together.  Kaleb and Matthew tackled one another when Matthew walked in the door!  This was also the first time Matthew and Lily met Emery and Oliver.

Kaleb may have a habit of taking potty breaks in the corner of the yard when outside swimming.  And he may have been telling Lily to give him some privacy. 

What a crew... love these kids!

We are thankful for such good friends and can't wait to visit with them again soon!

Kids Day Out

Kaleb finished his summer Kid's Day Out in July and here are the last two crafts he brought home.  We were very happy with this program and are looking forward to his first year of preschool there.  He starts in a couple weeks!

Happy 4th of July... a bit late!

Happy 4th of July!  Kirk and Kaleb celebrated the 4th with some of our neighbors while I stayed at the house with sleeping babies.  We didn't get many pictures because they were too busy with fireworks to worry about picture time.  Kaleb ADORES our neighbors kids and had a great time hanging out with them!
