July was SO QUICK!

I'm not sure where July went.  I have a few posts to catch up on from this month.  And I will do so soon!  For now, here are some pictures just taken around the house this month of our crew.

Oliver is always latched onto some body part of hers!

Our little Shockers!

Pool time!

Oliver is not so adventurous... swimming was a bit much for him.  Emery, however, loves the water... she's so chill!!

Big brother teaching Emery how to slide!

Oliver has him a chunky leg to chew on!

Big boy!

Oliver makes a great foot rest!

Zonked!

Loves his sis!

Really loves sis's legs!

We're gonna miss our sunflowers!

Happy naked baby!

Lucy is starting to attach herself to Kaleb now that Bruno is gone... she's still really sad, but doing a bit better.

More to come soon!!

Kids Day Out

Kaleb still attends "Parents Morning Out" at our church on Tuesday mornings and loves it more every week.  This summer we also have him in a 6 week "Kids Day Out" program at the church where he will be attending Preschool in the fall.  He goes on Thursday mornings and loves it just as much!  The theme is "Bug Safari" and they have done some really fun crafts.  Every time I go to pick him, he comes running to me telling me all about what he made that day.  Here are the first 4.  We have 2 weeks left, and I can't wait to see what else he will make for me!

What a big boy!!

5 Months Old!

Oliver and Emery are 5 months old!!

At 5 months old:
*Emery and Oliver are both wearing 6 month clothing.
*They are both in size 3 diapers.
*They can both roll over both directions.
*They are eating 2-3 solid meals a day, including sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, peas, green beans, avocado, apples, pears, bananas, and peaches.
*They no longer sleep swaddled.
*They are full of personality and as different as night and day!

More Summer Fun!

Our relaxing summer continues...

Kaleb and his friend Paisley turned a evening dinner with some of our friends into a chaperoned date for the two of them!  Swimming, playing in the yard, and a cozy snack picnic completed the evening!

Word!
Kaleb's girl, Paisley!

Paisley set up a nice romantic picnic date complete with feeding one another goldfish!

We try to hang with these guys as much as we can... we had a swim play date earlier this month!

This is the best I could do at a shot of the 3 of them together... they're busy!

We took the kids to the pool at the Y yesterday.  We went to the outdoor waterpark with Kaleb for about an hour and left the babies in the Kid Zone.  Then we took all 3 kiddos to the indoor pool for Emery and Oliver's first swim.  Emery, in her typical "Chill" fashion, just kicked back and enjoyed it.  Oliver was a bit on edge.  I don't think it was the water he didn't like.  It was very crowded and loud with music blaring over the speakers.  I think he was just uneasy in that atmosphere.  He did eventually calm down and hang out.  We will try again during the week some time when it is less crowded and see if he enjoys it a bit more.  Anyhow, Emery's hair air dried after her swim, and her first curl showed up right on the top of her head.  Until now, we've thought she was going to have her Daddy's straight hair, but that one little curl gives me hope.  After all, my curly hair started with one little curl in that same exact spot!

Emery's curl! This picture does not do it justice.  This is taken from the back of her head.

Check out how tall our sunflowers are... way taller than Kirk!!

Happy Summer Time!

Summer Days

We are really enjoying our summer already!  The babies love it outside, and they are perfectly content to hang out in their bouncy seats and watch Kaleb play on his new water table or in his new swimming pool.  We also spend a lot of time on the front porch swinging and watching Kaleb blow and chase bubbles.

Kaleb says he's a "movie star" when he wears his sunglasses!

Kirk has our yard looking better every day!

Kaleb helps keep the lawn cut!

I don't think many movie stars cut their own grass, but Kaleb does!

Had to share this... Emery has her head turned backwards because I put her where she couldn't see her brother.  About 5 minutes after I took this, I looked in on them and Oliver had turned all the way around so he could see her!

We won Kaleb's water table in a raffle at the Easter egg hunt we went to at All Star Adventures.

Kaleb wanted to swim in the water table... we bought him a pool the next day!

Our pretty garden!

We look forward to putting Emery and Oliver in the pool soon.  I think by the end of the summer they may be able to sit up enough to get in and splash around.  Until then, we'll have to get in and lounge with them!
